Skunk #1 is an old school favorite that was first created by Sacred Seed Co. in the 1970's. Inbred since 1978, its become highly prized as one of the 1st true-breeding varieties, leading to its global circulation amongst breeders as a parent strain for many breeding programs. Skunk #1 shows little-to-no variation in expressed traits (<5%), allowing breeders to anticipate the traits of its offspring and engineer many of the most popular strains on the market today. What's your favorite strain? Whatever your answer, there's a high likelihood that Skunk #1 is an ancestor.
Skunk #1 is an easy-to-grow strain for beginners, and has long been considered a gold standard against which other strains are measured. A solid cross between Acapulco Gold (Mexican Sativa, 25%), Afghani Ind. (25%), and Colombian Gold (Sativa, 50%), it was originally bred to be cultivated indoors; however, this strain is hearty and perfectly suitable for outdoor cultivation as well. Skunk #1 has a high calyx-to-leaf ratio, with large, resinous buds punctuated by sparse foliage and slender leaves. This hybrid is also well-known for its strong resistance to molds and mildew, but be sure to take special care to eliminate excess moisture during the more sensitive flowering stages.
Treat her with care and Skunk #1 will not disappoint you come harvest time. Leaning on its Afghani heritage, expect a pungent aroma and a potency to match. You'll be rewarded with pleasant physical relaxation from head to toe, fostering a feeling of calm that benefits medical and recreational consumers alike. This hybrid provides a well-balanced set of effects, notably a soothing mind and body high that boosts creativity and happiness.

My Cloning Process
These clones come from a healthy, disease-free and pest-free mother chosen for her resilience to stressors, including relative tolerance of temperatures < 55 degrees F and speedy, vigorous recovery from injury and training. I'd be happy to send you a photo of the branch/topping to be cut beforehand to ensure that you receive a cutting that is satisfactory for you, but this will only be done if you request it.
Cuttings remain healthy branches of the mother plant until after your order has been received. Each cutting is handled with the utmost care and prepared for rooting before being packaged.
- Cuts are made at a 45-degree angle to maximize water retention
- Leaf tips are snipped to limit transpiration
- The root zone is lightly shaved to promote root formation, then soaked in rooting hormones and planted in a rockwool starter plug that's been soaked in distilled, pH 5.5 water
- Plastic is wrapped tightly around the plug to retain hydration and moisture in the root zone
- The entire cutting is wrapped in a Ziploc bag and packed carefully inside a light-proof container to limit movement during shipping
All orders include free shipping via USPS First Class mail (delivers in 1-3 business days). If you'd prefer Priority Mail or PM Express, simply pay the difference in shipping and I'd be happy to accommodate your preference. I'll ship your order within 24 hours on any day of the week, but note that Sundays and holidays may result in slightly longer shipping times. Cuttings that are damaged or killed as a result of something I did will be replaced for free. Cuttings that are lost in shipping, killed from an extended shipping duration, or otherwise rendered non-viable through the shipping process will be faithfully evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Depending on the circumstances, you'll usually get a free replacement (possibly added to your next order); however, if I detect obvious deception or bad faith, your order will not be replaced! I hope and expect that we can maintain mutual trust within the community! :)
I accept donations by cryptocurrency (preferred), cash in the mail, or Cash App. New Strainly members without any positive ratings will be asked to pay in advance, and all other members need not pay until their cuttings are received!
