Digging through the old seeds from over 10 years ago we still had some platinum ghost berry seeds. Having the Hardcore OG that’s an absolute head slap in the potency department, we wanted to add more depth and range to the flavors.
The ultimate goal aside from adding some more flavor range to the Hardcore OG we wanted to make a somewhat shorter flowering period and try to make an OG potency strain that will stay mostly squat and yield without too much stretch.
The old platinum ghost berry from 2013 was just that. Broad range but mostly BC champagne and blueberry dominant. So we popped those old seed stock and set about to find a short, squat, bulky and short flowering male that was mostly that dry palate cleansing with some blueberry wine terps.
We took the Hardcore OG that keys, fang and RAB were running. The resulting testing was mass majority what we were looking for. A short, fat yielding, head slap potently that finished in 60 days or slightly less. You’ve still got those strong lemon and kerosene but with a creamy front end of a fermented blueberry background tone like a blueberry wine. It then turns to a mossy caramel that finishes like a dry champagne. The champagne terps are quite sharp finishing with a clean palate ready for the next puff.
This would also make for a fantastic edible or extract strain. Good yield, fast flowering, diverse flavors, bushy structure and a short plant. It also makes for an ideal greenhouse or outdoor strain where it will certainly get to 6’ tall and equally as large of a diameter.
Phenos can be a lighter green but most will be a deep dark green some venturing into a rich violet color.
