Badhiya Village, Dhar District (Madhya Pradesh) Central India

Badhiya is a small Village/hamlet in Nalchha Tehsil in Dhar District of Madhya Pradesh State (Central India). It is located 24 KM towards East from District head quarters Dhar and 250 something KMs from state capital Bhopal.
Most of the farming happens in secluded, cutoff areas on a considerable distance from the village to prevent anyone from finding the farms. Farmers growing them are also aware about culling the males off and they make selections for the denser/heavy yielding females each year.
Still, to continue the generation cycle, only a few selected males are left for open pollination.
