Strainly is committed to providing you with the best possible customer service experience and privacy standards.

Required member information

Like Facebook, we don't require an ID document to register.
For safety reasons, we don't require that you provide your full address when registering. Generally, the name of your locality or your zip code is just fine.
We don't store your private messages with other members nor do we keep your data should you decide to delete your account.

Collection of your personal information

There are many aspects of the site which can be viewed without providing personal information, however, for access to future Strainly customer support features you are required to submit identifiable information. This may include but not limited to a unique username and password, or provide sensitive information in the recovery of your lost password.

Use of personal details (purpose of register)

Personal details are collected to make communication and use of service possible. Details can be used for communication between service providers and users and also for direct communication between users. Some personal details are visible on the profile page of the user, but those details are voluntary (except name).

The handling of personal details is not outsourced, but the register data is stored on a server that is rented from a third party company.

For each visitor to reach the site, we expressively collect the following non-personally identifiable information, including but not limited to browser type, version and language, operating system, pages viewed while browsing the Site, page access times and referring website address. This collected information is used solely internally for the purpose of gauging visitor traffic, trends and delivering personalized content to you while you are at this Site.

From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will use for these new purposes only, data collected from the time of the policy change forward only if you adhere to our updated practices.

Strainly reserves the right to charge a fee for searching for, and providing access to, your information on a per request basis, though in the vast majority of cases, we will not charge anything to provide your information available on Strainly.

Information content of the register

The following information may be stored in the register:

  • Personal details: Name, email address, phone number, street address
  • Account details: username, password (stored in encrypted format)
  • The description text that the user may write about him/herself
  • The offers and requests the user has posted to the service
  • The given and received feedback and badges
  • Statistical data about service usage, e.g. number times the user has logged in

Regular sources of information

Personal details are given by the user on registration to the service or when using it later.

Regular handovers of the information

The information may be handed over for research purposes as described in the Terms of use that the user accepts before starting to use the service. The researchers may not publish any research results so that identifying information would be revealed or that any specific user could be detected.

Information considering users of a single Strainly community may be handed over to the client who has founded that community or to the community administrators appointed by that client.

Transfers of the information outside the EU and the European Economic Area

Information may be stored to a server that may be located inside or outside of the EU and the European Economic Area

The information is stored on computers. The access to the information is restricted with passwords and physical access to the computers is restricted by the server hosting company.

Strainly reserves the right to make amendments to this Privacy Policy at any time. If you have objections to the Privacy Policy, you should not access or use the Site.
