Bud Properties - Smell, Look, Yield
A higher potency version of Forbidden Fruit. High yielding, large cola sativa-hybrid with a very pungent and overwhelmingly pleasant smell; floral and vanilla/cookie notes with mango/cherry overtones, this curious strain requires a lot of sniffs to describe the smell. On further inspection there's a lot of cookie musk and vanilla possibly lending itself from Ice Cream Cake Bx3. Forbidden cheetah tends to dominate the air in the grow room. Terepene content varies from a ridiculous 3-5% among seeds. A true purple strain, forbidden cheetah immediately fades at week 1 from the inside out regardless of air temperature. To maximize terpene content and fade, lower daytime flower temperatures from 80F in week 1 down to 69F by weeks 9-10. Buds take shape as dense cones with an even ratio of sugar leaves to bracts, making trimming easy.
Ice Cream Cake male was stable in Bx3 prior to crossing with Cookies' Forbidden Cheetah Piss Female.
The result is a true hybrid cross where seeds are uniform; a blend of both parent's traits occur on a spectrum ranging of a slight dominance in one parent's traits over the other.
Polyhybrids are two unstable (F1-F2) different strains crossed for the first time. This is a cheaper, quicker and less professional way to breed, resulting in a mixed bag of traits from both parent's histories. Always inbreed to stabilize both parent lineages prior to crossing one strain with another.
Smoke Report - Flavor and Effects
Flavor upon inhale is sugary and fruity, along with a rare quality where the joint tastes better as it continues to burn. In rosin or live resin form, its taste and smell are intense enough to seem artificial. The initial mental effects of Forbidden Fruit Bx3 come with energizing thought and creativity that fades into calming mind and body relaxation, slowing making its way to sleepiness.
Plant Growth Characteristics
Plants demand lots of nitrogen and calcium in the vegetative state and tend to grow lighter green in color than their neighbors. Long, medium width, highly serrated fan leaves hang close to secondary and tertiary branches. Plants have medium node spacing and grow rapidly, allowing for bushy growth with proper training. In an ideal veg environment, take the time to top every single branch in 2-3 week intervals. Top these plants early and often in order to increase yield. These ladies want a lot of nutrients in flower, and the buds will swell well past what the stems can hold. With proper light intensity, massive buds will need support as flower nears its end. Expect uniformity from seed. All plants begin to turn purple in week 2 regardless of temperatures, although the purple colors will be maximized by cooler temperatures during weeks 6-9.
Genetic History and Sources
A Cookies Cut, Forbidden Fruit x Cheetah Piss was donated from Perfect Harvest in an effort to improve the potency of these special buds. Forbidden Fruit was originally bred by Chameleon Extracts using Tangie from Crockett Family Farms and Cherry Pie pollen from Jigga. My project began with crossing forbidden cheetah piss with an Ice Cream Cake Bx3 male from a stable and potent Ice Cream Cake #5 Bx3 line. The Ice Cream Cake x Forbidden Fruit F1 generation has been carefully tested by myself and other growers across the country with great results. This is a true hybrid line with amazing stability and co-dominance of traits. The influence of Forbidden Fruit terpenes dominates around 80% of the seeds while 20% have a mix of the vanilla/cookie smells from ice cream cake in tandem with the mango/cherry of forbidden fruit.
Ice Cream Cake Bx3 was mothered by the commercially sourced Ice Cream Cake #5 Female originally bred by Seed Junky. ICC#5 was crossed with a Crocket Family Farm's Strawberry Banana Sherbet Male, back to Ice Cream Cake #5 three more times. ICC #5 Bx3 was also known locally in northern Michigan as Funeral Cake because of its black fade. Bx3 progeny potency tested between 22-28%--similar to their 26% ICC#5 mother--with the usual vanilla/cookie dough smell from Ice Cream Cake.
Plants were bred and tested indoors and outdoors; from LED to HPS to the cold rainy autumns of Michigan. These plants are disease and pest resistant.
