Ya Hemi is a frosty strain that was created by Grandiflora Genetics, it is a cross of Project 4516 X Melonatta. She is highly sought after and difficult to acquire at a decent price. We acquired Ya Hemi and brought her to an F2 by crossing Ya Hemi siblings which is what we offer here today.
Ya Hemi which means you hear me is a super frosty and very dense strain, that offers a long-lasting upbeat, energetic, cerebral experience. She has a tendency to produce blue/green flowers with some becoming full on purple toward the end of flower. The flowers, when fully mature require a cure to intensify the smell of spicy fruit mixed with diesel but the taste is there immediately upon harvest. Ya Hemi has a taste that varies slightly from phenotype to phenotype, but all had a pepper/spice fruit taste.
If you like high powered Sativa's, this is your strain, but keep in mind that she is a difficult strain to grow. She stretches 1-2 times its size during flower, so special training may be required. The flowers are extremely dense and susceptible to mold, so adequate ventilation and low humidity is a must. She does not like heat and therefore can be very finicky. Her flowering time is short despite her Sativa tendencies. The original breeder recommended a flowering time of 63 days but in my experience, she is more of a 75–80-day strain.
Our work on Ya Hemi:
I started with 2 clones of Ya Hemi #9, which I acquired from a friend at Blackjack Canna Co., formerly known as Iron Fist. I reversed one clone using my own mix of STS spray, which provided me with feminized pollen. I froze that pollen for approximately 10 months. During that time, I acquired a pack of Ya Hemi S1 seeds by Bay Area Seeds, I grew them all out and pollinated all of them (open pollination) using the Ya Hemi #9 pollen I froze for 10 months. This resulted in Ya Hemi feminized seeds which I offer you for a small fraction of what I paid for the original genetics.
